J-man's first birthday was in September and, being the little athlete he is, a sports theme was only appropriate for his celebration. Here's a look at the cupcakes and cake I made for his big bash!

Happy Birthday, T Fitch!
This is the jersey cake I made in honor of T Fitch's 30th birthday. It was a baseball-themed party. You can see more of the party's details here.

Welcome baby Strovers!
It has been a while since this cake order, but it was a near-catastrophe so I think I wanted to get it out of my mind!
The sugar rattles on the jumbo cupcake were darling, however, my buttercream icing was not strong enough to hold them onto cake's sides! They started falling off one by one one the way to deliver the cake! Trevor ran into Walgreen's, but to my dismay they don't carry frosting! I thought Walgreen's carried everything! We then ran to Hy-Vee and grabbed some there, getting to the shower just in the nick of time. (At least the guest of honor had not shown up.) Albeit, I do think the finished products did turn out pretty cute.

Stella Neal is One
Our good friends' daughter, Stella, turned one in April! The theme of the party was cupcakes (with darling invitations that said "our little cupcake is turning one!"). I made a few dozen cupcakes for the soiree, in addition to an oversized cupcake and an individual cake for the birthday girl. Here's a picture of how they were displayed at the party.

Happy Birthday, Ethan!
Sabrina asked me to make her nephew, Ethan's, first birthday cake. The party was John Deere themed, so here's the creation for the one-year-old.

Congratulations Rick and Katelyn!
Rick and Katelyn are expecting a baby girl, and some friends threw a great shower for them at Come On Into My Kitchen. Sabrina designed the darling invites - based off of their Pottery Barn Kids bedding - and the cake was similar to the invites. (Sabrina, we make a good team!) I was excited that a "real chef," the owner of Come On Into My Kitchen, tried my cake and complimented it! Especially because, while I think a cake needs to look cute, I think it should taste even better.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Addison
I was thrilled to once again make the cake for Addison's birthday, as I made her first birthday cake. This year, her celebration was Yo Gabba Gabba. Her cake featured her favorite character, Foofa. Foofa is apparently "pink and happy" (per YGG's Web site) which means Foofa is my therefore favorite character as well.
